- Billy Trujillo’s Birdwatchers RV Park has not only the ultimate proximity to Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge, but also has an abundance of local songbirds within its 13+ acre campground.

Great Little ParkThe owner, Billy, has re-opened this park. New gravel, sites have power, water and sewer. Everything is clean. Can't get closer to the Bosque del Apache NWR without being in it. The correct phone number is 575-517-6841.Herb from Florida 14 October 2019BHDClose to Bosco Del Apache, you can’t get any better than that!Jay n Jen 14 July 2019Billy is an excellent host. The park is sparse but very quiet and inexpensive. Bill was nice enough to give me a bit of a discount because I only have a camper van. Paid for two nights the same as most parks cost for one night. If you're looking for a good place that's friendly and priced right, you have to come here. If you want many amenities and high prices then by all means, go somewhere else. Billy gets my second ever five star rating just for being a great guy!Gary Eastman 23 January 2021
Spent 2 nights here. Very quiet and only 3 miles from town. Some nice buildings to see getting to the park. Price was reasonable. $30 a night. Ate at the Buckhorn cafe. Had a green chili cheeseburger. Truly recommend this park.Jim 9 December 2019
BirdwatchersRV is not fancy but the closeness to Bosque is perfect! We called Mr Trujillo and lucked out with a stay. Usually it is full, but the weekend of the Festival of the Cranes was not happening this year, so maybe people cancelled. The park has water and electric hookups and a shower and bathroom facilities. It is flat ground and off the road. It is very quiet but the train goes by and toots its horn early in morning.Couldn’t be happier with Mr Trujillo or park.
Date of stay: November 2020Basic campgroudSmall park, all gravel pull through sites, a mix of 30 and 50 amp. The gateway into the park is a little on the narrow side, once into the park it is easier to navigate. Check in was fast and friendly. There was a little mix up on our site - we were told to take site 11 but there was already someone in that spot, but it all worked out. We were in Site 15 gravel, level and full hook-ups. No problems with the hook-ups. Plenty long enough for our 37' Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. Sites are nice and wide. The park is quiet but there is a train across the street that runs all night long and is very loud. There is no laundry or WiFi. Plenty of places to walk the dog and even spots to run off lead. We stayed October 25-27,2017 and paid $27.50 a night with no discount. Nancy B October 2017.
